Named after Ariana, the Greek Goddess of colour, this modular shawl was designed specifically to show off gorgeous self striping yarns.
The pretty petal-like motif is easy and quick to knit
Pattern is charted and written out row-by-row and the pattern includes detailed instructions (with photo) showing you how to join motifs
Makes a great project to have on the go alongside other projects - perfect for dipping into when you have a spare 20 minutes!
Each motif requires approx 7m (7.5 yds) of DK weight yarn (4mm/ US size 6 Needles)
Regular shawl (pictured) = 91 Motifs
Large Shawl = 120 Motifs
Pattern includes a template to show the placement of each motif in the order you knit them (which has been designed to flow with the gradient effect of self-striping yarns)
You’re not limited to using a self-striping yarn. Let your imagination run wild with colour choices - it makes a great project for using up leftover scraps.
Because you join the motifs together as you go there is absolutely no sewing required (yay!). My top tip is to weave in your ends as you knit your first row of each motif.
The perfect cover up for weddings, garden parties and balls, it buttons delicately at the neck to keep it in place all day or night and folds up to fit in even the tiniest of clutch bags!
Comes in 4 sizes; XS (S, M, L). Pictured in Size XS.
Finished neck circumference (buttoned) 17 (18, 19, 20)” fastened.
Depth of finished (blocked) Capelet approx: 13 (13, 17, 17)”.
The depth of the capelet can be easily altered by adding in more or fewer repeats of Lace Chart 2. Each extra repeat of Lace Chart 2 will add approximately 4” to the depth of the capelet and will require approximately 80 (90, 95, 105) extra metres of yarn.
Can be made using any lace weight yarn. Approximate yarn requirements: 245 (270, 390, 425) metres. Uses 4mm Needles.
The lace pattern is both charted and fully written out row-by-row.

A gorgeous triangular shawl worked from the top down. The Stocking Stitch not only makes this a relatively quick and easy TV knit (perfect for keeping in your bag for an on-the-go project) but it also means this shawl will nicely show off a variegated yarn.
The stylish lace hem pattern is charted only (it is not written out row-by-row) so you need to be able to work from charts to follow this pattern.
This shawl uses Popcorns rather than Nupps; I love the effect of Nupps but don’t like the purling together of 9 Sts on the WS rows so I work Popcorns which look just like Nupps but are worked on RS rows only leaving WS rows a purl-only zone! Full instructions on how to work Popcorns are given in the pattern, however, for those who are a sucker for Nupps you can stick with nupps!! (Or substitute both with beads!)
The pattern includes 3 sizes, however, the shawl can be made in any size you wish and instructions are given in the pattern for those who wish to customise the shawl to make it in a different size than the 3 listed.
you can use any weight of yarn you like for this pattern, but I would recommend swatching to make sure the stocking stitch is not too loose or dense. The pictured shawl has a gauge of 32 Sts and 40 rows to 4” using 3.25mm needles using a 4ply/sock yarn.

Willow is possibly the most versatile shawl pattern you can have in your collection. The pattern comprises of 3 charts and can be made from many variations of the 3 charts, work Charts A and B as many times as you like, or skip out chart B and work just charts A and C - this is a pattern you will be using time and time again without making any 2 shawls that look the same. if you only buy one shawl pattern you will not regret making it this one!
The pattern can be made using lace weight yarn or 4 ply or even DK adding to its versatility.
The pictured shawl was made by adding one extra repeat of chart A, 2 full repeats of chart B and finally Chart C and used 740m of lace weight yarn using 3.25mm needles and measures 80cm depth and 180cm wingspan. It will be very easy to make a smaller shawlette or larger shawl from this pattern.
The pattern also includes the instructions for two different Bind Off techniques - plain and picot. The pictured shawl was finished off with the pretty picot bind off.
The pattern is charted form only, with 3 clear and easy-to-read charts. There are no row-by-row written instructions. All WS rows are purled thanks to the use of Popcorns (which are worked entirely on the RS row) rather than nupps.

La Primavera shawl is a beautiful top down triangular lace shawl with a modern geometric pattern. I wanted to design something classy and modern with an Art-Deco inspired twist. For me this shawl ticks all of those boxes!
An enjoyable knit for experienced lace knitters, this pattern comes in charted form only with 2 easy-to-read charts. All WS rows are purled thanks to the use of popcorns rather than nupps (although if you are a fan of nupps feel free to substitute!)
The pattern can easily be adapted to make a small shawlette or larger shawl by adding as many repeats of the pattern as you wish until your shawl is the size you want it to be.
This pattern calls for lace weight yarn but can easily be knit up with a 4 ply yarn on larger needles. The pictured shawl has a wingspan of 160cm and a depth of 75cm and used 560m of lace weight yarn
